After getting robbed in Paris: my laptop, tefillin, cash, and ID all stolen, I had no choice but to cancel my long-awaited European adventure. Without my tefillin, I simply couldn’t continue.

But on the way home, I made an unexpected stop: Casablanca, Morocco.

What started as a heartbreaking detour turned into a powerful experience. I visited the breathtaking Hassan II Mosque, explored Moroccan culture, found a Jewish restaurant, and even stopped at the historic Jewish cemetery.
