50 Days, 50 States – Part 9 is all about the road through the heartland… and the most unbelievable stop of the whole episode: Monowi (Manowee), Nebraska.

Before we get there, I’m pushing west toward Kansas and make a quick stop at the Geographic Center of the United States. Then it’s a simple night in Lincoln, Nebraska to recharge — because the next day we pull up to a town that feels like a glitch in America.

Monowi is famous for one reason: it’s essentially a one-person town. One bar. One local legend. One of the most surreal “only in America” places you can visit — and I’m taking you with me for the whole experience.
