Earlier today, I was speaking to someone about who composed a particular song and he sent me the original version of the Moditz nigun. I recognized the voice to be R' Ben Tzion Shenker A"H. I also asked him that I heard that the famous tune of Mizmor L'dovid was composed by R' Ben Tzion Shenker A"H, and I wanted to confirm that. He confirmed that indeed it was, and added that tonight the 19th of Mar-cheshvon is his Yar Tzeit! I was amazed at the Hashgacha! So I decided to record right then and there. May The Neshama of Ben Tzion Ben Mordechai have an Aliah!
