Songs of the Modzitzer Rebbe, Reb Shaul Yedidya Taub - 78th Yahrtzeit Kumzitz

Motzei Shabbos marked the 78th Yahrtzeit of the Modzitzer Rebbe, Reb Shaul Yedidya Taub, ZT"L. In honor of the occasion, a mesiba was held at the home of Reb Aron Orlander in Boro Park, where Chassidim and admirers gathered to celebrate the rich legacy of Modzitzer negina.

Reb Aron, a seasoned Modzitzer menagen, led the evening’s melodies with warmth and familiarity.

Reb Aron, together with his partner Reb Dovid Bick, presented a selection of Modzitz’s classic melodies alongside rare and treasured compositions from the magnificent Modzitzer canon. The evening was graced by the masterful artistry of pianist Dov Lencevsky, whose expressive playing added depth and beauty to the event, as he so often does.

A special highlight was the participation of Matis Orlander of Monsey, prodigious grandson of Reb Aron, who enhanced the mesiba with his remarkable piano talents. Reb Oyzer Orlander also contributed a stirring performance, offering a longer, lesser-known piece that captivated the audience.

The climax of the evening came with the moving rendition of the Ezkara of the Divrei Yisrael, sung with awe and reverence by Reb Dovid Bick, uplifting the entire gathering and bringing the mesiba to a spiritually elevated conclusion.
