At a recent wedding, during the week of Reb Shlomo Carlebach’s 31st yahrzeit, we played a medley of his songs in his honor. There was something about this particular lyric and melody — a deep yearning for peace in the world, in our hearts and minds, and for the kind of human connection that feels so rare these days.
